Anything “jadul” seems like a thing lately. Take a look at one of this “jadul” cafe. “Jadul” actually is a short term of JAman DULu, which means years ago. Kedai Roti Kobi is one of it that serves a childhood soft bread with variant fillings and simple drinks like iced milk tea, chocolate, iced coffee.
Located in Pluit, North Jakarta feel the nostalgic moment when you enter the place. Finished with old wood texture, cement floor, and minimalist seating chair all over the small area.
An open kitchen concept and cashier greets of behind the door, ready taking your orders before you find a place to sit. Coming here at night, still got the vibes but I bet the sunlight at afternoon will be more interesting!
It was three of us visiting this but we have already eaten before so we decided to share everything. Ordered half of Roti Nogat Meses, Roti Srikaya Kelapa, and Susu Regal.
Honestly, I don’t expect it would be this goood! I mean, I’ve tried another one before but not enough to make me feel like want it more. The bread is fluffy and soft even though not look like that at the first sight. But the first bite changes everything!
Also lovin the topping, yes both of it. And I also get more again just right the next day. And for the Susu Regal, was expecting can taste the crumble of regal but the reality the regal biscuits and soymilk was fully blended. Still taste ok but I think I’ll just have the basic drink another time.
